Eurasia Tunnel Increases Housing Prices

The Eurasia tunnel, which will reduce the distance of 100 minutes between the two sides of Istanbul to 15 minutes, was opened on 20 December 2016 with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım and numerous foreign guests.

The Eurasia Tunnel, which will not be affected by the earthquake and tsunamis, can also be used as a shelter with superior security features, has increased real estate prices and rents in areas close to the entrances and exits of the city.

General Manager of TSKB Real Estate Appraisal Makbule Yönel Maya stated that transportation projects have always increased housing prices and that the real estate properties in the regions where the mega-like projects like the Eurasian Tunnels are located are worthy.

In the last year, Maya, who stated that there is an increase of up to 40 percent in housing prices and rent values in the regions along the project route, the average increase has been around 30 percent.
