Izmir, the 3rd largest city of Turkey, is progressing quickly towards becoming an alternative to Istanbul in the property sector. According to the figures of MilliyetEmlak EN’deks, Izmir is the 2nd city where the highest numbers of properties are being sought after Istanbul. It is said that Bornova, Bayraklı and Çeşme will be the regions which will provide the biggest gains in property in the 2nd half of the year.
While the search for property in Izmir is mostly performed via desktop platforms, men have been searching for more properties than women. 54% of the property searches in Izmir were carried out by men, and 46% by women, while the subject searched most was rental properties. The search for rental properties increased by 30% in July, when compared to the previous month.
Çeşme to have the most investment
According to the data, the region which will develop in the 2nd half of the year in Izmir covers the district of Bayraklı, which has been named the New City Center, a large section of Bornova and a part of Konak, with office investments providing profits in particular. On the other hand, the development in the purchase of residential properties will be in Narlıdere, due to its close proximity to summer home regions such as Çeşme, Urla and Mavişehir, which comes to the fore with branded property projects. Çeşme will continue to be one of the districts with the most intensive development in the area of residential properties.
