It is planned that the tender for the Doğançay – Sapanca high speed railway line will begin in the first half of 2016.
The infrastructure work between Doğançay – Sapanca, which is to be built within the scope of the Istanbul – Ankara High Speed Train Project to be developed by the T.R. State Railways General Directorate, will be put out to tender in the first half of 2016.
When the construction is completed, the high speed trains will go directly to Sapanca, without going through Arifiye. A large train station is planned for Sapanca due to this. Passengers to Adapazarı, Arifiye, will be provided with transit services from Sapanca, with either Adaray or Ada Trains. The high speed train will stop in Izmit after Sapanca.
It is expected that the 2nd phase of the 12 kilometer long Doğançay – Sapanca rerouting will be completed in 48 months and that it will go into service in 2020.
