Istanbul Sapphire, the tallest building in Turkey, the 9th tallest in Europe and the 148th tallest in the World, at 236 meters, went into service in 2011. Having been built for 340 million dollars, Istanbul Sapphire has a total of 66 floors, 10 of which are ground floors. The tower has got over a 165.169 square meter construction area. Together with a 30 meter aerial, its height reaches 261 meters. The principal functions of the building include a public shopping center, a car park and a luxury residential tower block. There is a 970 square meter social area, which is jointly used by the luxury residences, as well as a 1.100 square meter golf practice course and a restaurant bar on the top floor of the building. Additionally, there is a public observation terrace at a height of 225 meters.
Spine Tower, the second tallest building of Istanbul, at a height of 217 meters, went into service in 2014. The external aspect design of Spine Tower, comprised of 28 offices and 16 luxury residences on a total of 47 floors, was carried out in Germany. High performance concrete manufactured in Turkey was used while making a special wind optimization system for the building located in Maslak. The Bosphorus can be seen to the East and the Black Sea and forests to the north, when looking out from the highest point of the building.
Varyap Meridian Grand Tower
Built between the years 2009-2013, Varyap Meridian Grand Tower is 180 meters tall. Situated in West Ataşehir, the tower has a total of 52 floors. 1653 apartments within the building are being used as homes and offices. Having been built in compliance with the ‘LEED’ criteria, which is accepted as the most important environmentally and energy friendly green building certificate in the world, Varyap Meridian Grand Tower possesses the characteristic of being the first large ecological combined construction project in Turkey.
The building formerly known as Rönesans Tower was purchased by the company Allianz, changing its name to ‘Allianz Tower’. Allianz Tower has gone on record as being the first Leed Platin certificate holding tower block in Turkey. The building, which has a total of 42 floors, continues to provide services under the name Allianz Tower, since 28 September. In contrast to the other tower blocks, Allianz Tower is only being used for offices.
İş Kuleler (İş Towers)
İş Tower 1, which is situated in Levent, and is 181 meters tall, went into service in the year 2000. The tower block, which belongs to İş Bank, is approximately 8 times the size of the T. İş Bankası Head Office Building in Ankara. Three times taller than the Bosphorus Bridge, Tower 1 was built in a manner to ensure it is sustainable against the severest of earthquakes, by remaining in a resilient area. İş Towers are comprised of lower floors where the coffee – beige colors and granite surfaces evocative of ancient temples are dominant, while in contrast the upper floors are of a blue-grey structure made up of metal and glass.
Andromeda Gold, which is located in Ataşehir and which possesses a Leed certificate, has the status of being the tallest building of Europe having been built with a tunnel formwork system. Comprised of a main building and blocks A and B, Andromeda Gold is made up of a total of 399 units on 51 floors. There are 96 one bedroom, 148 two bedroom, 126 three bedroom and 28 four bedroom apartments within the building. Andromeda Gold, which is 181 meters tall, possesses apartments ranging in size from 78 to 329 square meters.
Palladium Tower, which went into service in July 2014, is made up of 52 floors. Palladium Tower, which is 181 meters, is also among the buildings possessing the Gold Leed Certificate. The sizes of the offices at Palladium, which has been built on a 100 thousand square meter area of land, range between 180 and 1.350 square meters. There are gardens with natural ventilation on each of the floors of the Palladium Tower project.
Akasya Tower Acıbadem
Akasya Acıbadem, which is 180 meters tall, went into service in 2014. With its structure possessing an iconic mass impact, there are a total of 256 units in Kent Kule, with 198 of these being home-office units, 35 being commercial offices and 24 penthouse suites. Unlike skyscraper projects, where in general the windows cannot be opened at all, or can only be partially opened, Akasya tower property project was designed as a tower block where the windows can be fully opened. With this feature, whereby it is possible to open the windows even on the 40th floor, the project was deemed fit for first place in Europe in the contests it has taken part in, obtaining the right to compete at the world level. It gained 5 stars in the “Best Tall Building Architecture” category of “The European Property Awards” – which is among the most prestigious real estate awards of Europe – in 2012, and was chosen as the “Most Successful Project in Europe”.
Divan Residence at Bomonti Plaza
Divan Residence at Bomonti was built with the highest quality of materials and workmanship, with its construction being completed in 2012. While the construction plan for the luxury residences was carried out by the world famous award winning architecture office, Tago Architecture, the architectural drawings for the building were prepared by Tatsuyo Yamamoto and Gökhan Aktan, the founders and architects of the building. Divan Residence at Bomonti Plaza is 160 meters tall, with 42 floors, and a total of 291 apartments, of which 257are one beds, 28 are two beds and 6 are three beds. Among the environmentally friendly towers with its Leed certificate, Divan Residence at Bomonti is one of the symbols of Şişli.
Tekstilkent Koza Plaza
The height of the Tekstilkent Koza Plaza Towers, which was built by Garanti-Koza, is 161.25 meters, and it is comprised of a total of 44 floors, with 35 standard floors, 2 installations floors, 1 mezzanine floor, 1 ground floor and 4 basement floors. Tekstilkent Koza Plaza provides its services through a shopping center made up of 30 stores, and 261 offices in blocks A and B. Approximately 6 thousand people are employed at the Plaza, with close to a further 1.200 daily visitors.
