Having won the tender issued for the Kartal plot, Istanbul, the Ağaoğlu and Dap Yapı project partnership signed the project yesterday.
The efforts have been kick-started to launch the first joint project with a marina in front of it, which would include several elements such as a school, a shopping mall, a hospital, residences, offices and a mosque. There is a construction area of 141.896 m2 in total on the land located in Kartal, one of the most rapidly developing areas of Istanbul.
Two Major Companies Join Forces
Ziya Yılmaz, Chairman of the Board of DAP Yapı, said the following about the project: ‘’As Dap Yapı, this is the first time we are engaged in a project partnership. We have closely kept abreast with the construction technologies in the world and brought about many innovations to Turkey. Under the umbrella of Emlak GYO (REIT), we shall undersign a robust, reputable and unique project.
The first Joint Project with a Marina in front of it
This project has the quality of being the first real estate project in Istanbul at such a scale, which lies on the seafront. I searched throughout the world a place similar to the land in Kartal only to fail; I’ve never seen a project as comprehensive as this one. It has several different elements such as a marina, a school, a shopping mall, a hospital, residences, offices and a mosque. It is the first joint project with a marina in front of it. It will be a project that will make an overwhelming impression globally. We want it to be a work of art which every tourist visiting Istanbul will want to see, stand in front of it watching it for hours. As the project is launched, the prices in the coastal lane of Kartal will be multiplied.
A New Metropolis is Being Born
Our project is located right in front of the area of transformation designed by Zaha Hadid for Kartal. The Kartal Urban Transformation Project, which was developed as part of the vision of creating a first class hub on the Anatolian side, will be home to 4.5 million people including its peripheries. A center of business and living for Istanbul, which will be focus of attention, will have been born. It will be connected to all squares of Istanbul with the subway, Marmaray and sea transport as well as other domestic and international destinations by means of Sabiha Gökçen Airport. The housing areas will be connected via roadway and railway at the project, which will include a cultural space, an opera house, a park, hotels, restaurants, a yacht harbor and a marina.”
