The Büyükyalı Project, which also presented at a preliminary press meeting last week in Istanbul, drawing a great interest at MIPIM 2016
Project is located in Zeytinburnu district of Istanbul and will provide 1,500 dwellings, 15,000 sq m of restaurants, shops and leisure space, and 20,000 sq m of offices along the seafront. The Project will create an extension of Istanbul along the Bosphorus, with a new community built along the Istanbul Kazlıçeşme coastal road.
The Büyükyalı development partnership’s revenue-sharing agreement with Emlak Konut, the development company in which Turkish housing body TOKI has the majority stake, is the largest ever in Turkey. The respective interests of the three members in the Büyükyalı partnership are Ozak GYO 55%, Ziylan 30% and Yenigün 15%.
Büyükyalı is well connected, with Access to both the Marmaray and Avrasya tunnels and the new eight-lane coastal highway. The Project is also close to Atatürk Airport. Büyükyalı will also feature a sea-shuttle service, allowing residents to beat the notorius Istanbul traffic.
Ahmet Akbalık, CEO of the Özak GYO, Ziylan Gayrimenkul, Yenigün Insaat Partnership, said; “With our Büyükyalı Project, we have taken a new urbanism approach, meaning that we have integrated a social life for our residents into the very design of the development. We describe our projects as ‘four quarters, one neighbourhood’ – the four main Gates located in the Project provide entrances and exits to the open spaces and communal areas in Büyükyalı.”
