Emaar, the construction company of Al-Maktoum, the Sheikh of Dubai, launched its second real estate project in Turkey.
Having made an ambitious entrance to Turkey in the year 2006 with the project titled Toskana Vadisi, the company broke the ground and launched for sale the project named Emaar Square, which it will construct in Çamlıca with an investment of 2 billion 300 million USD.
Emaar Square to be one of the most expensive projects in Turkey
Ozan Balaban, the CEO of Emaar Turkey, said that they sold 152 flats within the two weeks as of the launch for sale of the project and added that they offered options for more than 700 customers. Stating that they were very pleased with the attention they received in Turkey, Balaban said: “We have built one of the most expensive projects in Turkey. We have included the largest shopping center of Turkey. The operation of the hotel included in the project will be undertaken by The Address, a globally renown brand. We will be on the agenda with new projects in Turkey.” Stating that the project was targeted at Turkish investors, yet foreign investors were now also included in their customer portfolio, Balaban added: “We have allocated a part of Emaar Square to foreign investors. We will have launch events first in Dubai then in New York in relation to this.”
Emaar Square will have more than 1000 residences, a five-star hotel with 180 rooms and the largest shopping mall of Turkey. To be handed over in the year 2015, the prices for residences and flats ranging in surface area between 35 sq m to 400 sq m will be between 250 thousand USD to 2 million USD.
Emaar Square has already earned several prestigious awards such as the “World’s Best Architectural Project for Mixed Use” at the 2012 International Real Estate Awards and the “Best Architectural Project for Mixed Use” at the European Real Estate Awards.
Dubai Mall will be equipped with an ‘Underwater Zoo Garden
The Emaar Square Shopping Mall, which is included in the project, offers various options for visitors such as fun and kids playground centers, ice skating rink and an underwater zoo garden, which has a counterpart in Dubai Mall also including a mega cinema complex with 2400 seats and an exclusive parking lot of 4500 vehicles for the Shopping Mall.
Built in the downtown at one of the favorite squares, the Emaar Square project is located on the main arterial roads and linking roads and at a very short distance to Bağdat Street, the Bosphorus and the bridges.
