Kadir Topbaş, Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, hosted Muhammed el-Mugaryef, President of Libya, at the promotional tent of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in Sütlüce.
Mayor Topbaş explained that they turned Istanbul to the center of attraction of the world with the investments they made since the day they took office and added “We maintain the vision that was started by Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, our esteemed Prime Minister, during his tenure as the Mayor. We had to do the best and be number one in everything. We kept our objectives grand and we included Istanbul at an ambitious race. We have received a standing ovation from everyone for our achieved results.”
We stand by Libya from waste management to waste water, construction transport
Mayor Topbaş said “We stand by Libya from waste management to waste water, construction transport” and explained their international projects as follows: “One year ago, we launched a waste and garbage collection activity in Lahore. Lahore has now become the cleanest city in Pakistan. We established there the metro-bus system that has been very successful in Istanbul. It will be opened in January. We will also launch an activity in Cairo about solid waste. Next week, we will host in Istanbul the Vice Mayor of Mecca in relation to their garbage collection activities. We also received a similar request from Yemen – Aden. We will sign a cooperation agreement with them, too.”
Mayor Topbaş reiterated that they would support Libya, which has been restructured following the Arab Spring, in every arena and added “This is also the wish of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, our esteemed Prime Minister.”
Muhammed el-Mugaryef, President of Libya, and his entourage then visited Finans Kent, which is being built in Alibeyköy, Istanbul by Kiptaş A.Ş. and received information from İsmet Yıldırım, General Manager of Kiptaş about the project.
