Cendere Valley – The rising center of the city
Cendere Valley became the focal point of urban transformation with the increase in the need for offices and homes following the removal of industry from the large cities, and its replacement by the service sector, after the 1980s. Cendere Valley is within one of the important ecological corridors in Istanbul. The forestry areas towards the Black Sea, the natural flow of air in the valley and the river which runs through the middle of it is a blessing and source of wealth for the region. Cendere Valley is also located between the E5 and TEM Highways, which are the important arteries of the city, and is at an advantageous location in terms of transport access as a result. The main arteries and the structural texture, which are between Büyükdere Caddesi and the valley, have the potential to be transformed and be restructured in a manner which will link these two areas.
