Arıkan Yapı, which has won 3 awards at the European Property Awards with its Toskana Orizzonte project in Istanbul Büyükçekmece, was also deemed fit for an award in the Interior Design category with its Emirgan Villa project.
Arıkan Yapı has returned from the European Property Awards – one of the most important real estate awards of Europe – with four awards. Toskana Orizzonte project, which is comprised of 187 villas – all of which are single-storey – won three different awards in the Property Development category in the contest, which was held for the 22nd time in London this year. On the other hand, Emirgan Villa project, designed by Orfea Arıkan, also won an award in the Interior Design category.
Horizontal architecture wins
Habip Arıkan, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Arıkan Yapı, said that they were proud to return with awards from this important platform, where the leading construction and real estate companies of the world were present. Arıkan stated that the most important feature of the Toskana Orizzonte project is that it is comprised of single-storey villas, adding that the model most suited to human physiology was horizontal living. Habip Arıkan, who stated that they had constructed a real detached living model in the Toskana Orizzonte project, said, “Instead of the habitual multi-storey and adjoining structures, we designed a life which is single-storey, fully detached and without stairs in dwellings which are of optimum size.”
