The total volume of contracts awarded to Turkish construction companies in the Central Asian country of Turkmenistan firms almost reached 1 billion Turkish Liras during the first three months of the year.
The Cabinet recently also approved tenders worth $700 million to Turkish firms.
Last year Turkish companies undertook 63 projects worth $3.27 billion dollars in this country. In 2010 the figure was $4.5 billion.
Total volume of projects that have been assumed by Turkish construction companies in Turkmenistan since 1991 exceeds $26 billion.
