Istanbul International Financial Center is scheduled to be opened in 2023
Istanbul International Financial Center, whose construction works started in 2014, is planned to be opened in 2023 due to delays in Ziraat Bank and Central Bank buildings.
The first construction tender for the project, initiated by Emlak Konut GYO, was held in November 2012. International Financial Center construction works started in 2014, which will be realized on 300 thousand square meters land at the intersection of Ümraniye and Ataşehir on the Asian side of Istanbul.
Most of the rough construction is completed
So far, the ground improvement was made, common infrastructure was established, roads to provide transportation, open and closed parking spaces, offices, work places and rough construction of housing areas were completed.
Vakıfbank, Halk Bank, SPK and Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) buildings are under construction. Ziraat Bank construction started in 2018. The construction of the Central Bank has not begun yet.
Ziraat Bank and Central Bank projects delayed
The Istanbul International Financial Center project, which has an investment value of $ 5 billion and previously planned to be put into service in 2020, is expected to open in 2023 due to delays in Ziraat Bank and Central Bank projects.
