Zero Waste Town in Turkey

Research began for the determination of Turkey’s first zero-waste town.

The zero-waste town will be an example to Turkey as in the town of Kamikatsu in Japan.

Waste will be determined separately according to their type. Compost will be made from the organic waste of the district. Assessable wastes will be processed in recycling facilities and converted into new products. Also there will be an economic gain.

Turkey’s Zero Waste Project work started in 2017. Project implementation is expected to be expanded throughout the country by 2023
